When you want to buy a boat on the other side of the globe, the first thing that crosses your mind is how can I manage to deal with the many curve balls that are thrown at you in a different time zone. So for several years I held back buying a boat due to these fears. But because I have a love for boating I continued to look at boats for sale and during this time I came across Ben Young from SYM.

The minute I met Ben I knew I was in very capable hands. I knew immediately that I could trust Ben and his team on any facet of buying and owning a boat. Hence I bought a boat and embarked on an extensive refit with SYM to manage the works with a tight time frame as the summer was approaching.

We firstly agreed on the list of works that I wanted completed to reposition the boat. The upgrades included painting, technical, electronic, AV, mechanical, system, soft furnishings, crew placement, berthing and financial management including banking and accounts payable.

The team at SYM delivered in my opinion on every level, the boat was completed on time stress free for me, (but maybe not for the SYM team). When I saw the boat 16 weeks later she was a very different boat. I was very impressed with the quality of work that was done through their team of contractors that they have gathered over the years. The total package that SYM offers makes owning a boat in the Mediterranean a pleasure.
